Each year, we serve approximately 2,900 veterans, support more than 780 children and house more than 1,800 each day. Father Joe’s Villages has devised a plan that will provide 2,000 units of affordable housing to our neighbors in need. The Village Health and Wellness program provides a broad variety of positive, life-affirming activities to Village residents. With weekly classes in a variety of physical and cultural endeavors, including yoga, tai chi, hiking, music and art, we replace the limitations of homelessness with the pride and energy that come from learning something new and creating improved perspective associated with healthy minds and bodies.

On May 8, we debuted Shine – an animated short film about the journey to overcome homelessness. In partnership with San Diego integrated marketing agency i.d.e.a. and Golden Globe-nominated animation studio Reel FX, our film tells a story of hope intended to shift public perceptions of homelessness and inspire action. The film Shine is a signature element of a larger ongoing initiative, “We See.”
